ARTIST: IVAN LAM "Ivan Lam: 3 Buses..." will feature at Wei-Ling Gallery this August This highly regarded contemporary Malaysian artist has garnered multiple awards in a 12-year career laden with solo and group exhibitions and is well on his way to the annals of Malaysian art history with his cutting edge works that push the boundaries of what we know as painting. In conjunction with his upcoming exhibition Panorama, Wei-Ling Gallery is pleased to announce that the second half of the 3 Buses diptych entitled, "3 Buses (I kept to my end of the bargain, how about you?)" will be available for sale through an online auction this August 2009.Proceeds from the sale of the painting will be channelled towards a children's charity in Kuala Lumpur. The first half of the diptych entitled 3 Buses received a final bid of HKD120,000(RM60,000) three times the higher estimate from Christie's Hong Kong Southeast Asian Modern and Contemporary Art May 2008 auction.
