In 2005, Wei-Ling Gallery opened it doors with much pomp and ceremony to their inaugural exhibition 18@8, which featured 18 selected artists at No.8 Jalan Scott (the gallery's address).

This exhibition has since become a fixture on the gallery's calendar and in 2006 Wei-Ling Gallery in collaboration with Amin Gulgee Gallery, Karachi Pakistan, took the second instalment of 18@8 to Karachi, Pakistan.

The 18@8 exhibition has become a definitive event on the local arts scene and is the gallery's selection of 18 contemporary artists, who have made waves in 2007 and will be the ones to watch out for in 2008. The list changes every year.

This year's 18@8 exhibition once again promises to deliver the best of contemporary Malaysian art and will feature major works by Amin Gulgee, Anurendra Jegadeva, Chin Kong Yee, Ivan Lam, Yusof Ghani, Zulkifli Yusof, Multhalib Musa, Choy Chun Wei, Kim Ng, Hamidi Hadi, Daud Rahim, Chan Kok Hooi, Sabri Idrus, Yau Bee Ling, Wong Chee Meng, Johari Said, Hamir Soib and Yap Sau Bin.
