Lim Wei-Ling Esme graduated from the School of Visual Arts, Charles Sturt University in New South Wales, Australia with a BA in Jewellery/Silversmithing.

She has been painting and designing jewellery throughout her years as a stockbroker but has never exhibited any of her works publicly. Now after devoting an entire year to exploring colour and depth on canvas, she has finally accumulated enough paintings to put together a body of work entitled "Botanica".

September 1990
"Student Choice"- Exhibition of works selected by 2nd year art students from the NSW Gallery's permanent Collection. This involved student's tracing and interviewing the artist chosen and writing a disssertation on his life and the selected work.

October 1990
"Rags to Riches"-2nd year Jewellery and Textiles Exhibiton at Charles Sturt University's "H.R. Gallup Gallery". An exhibition of selected pieces produced by Jewellery and Textile students during the academic year.

September 1991
"Inside Out"- A selected collection of work from Charles Sturt University's art school, exhibited at WC Art Gallery, NSW.

November 1991
"Graduate Show-73 degrees" - An exhbition of graduating student's work from Charles Sturt University's Art School. Jewellery design students showcased the body of work completed in their graduating year.

April 1994
Created a modern day "Kerongsang", as part of a fringe event to "A Midsummer's Night Dream". This was displayed at Carcosa Seri Negara, Kuala Lumpur.

May 2002
Solo exhibition at the Townhouse Gallery,  Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

Commissions >

July 1991 Commissioned by the President of PAM (Pertubuhan Akitek Malaysia), Encik Hussein Hamzah, to design and produce the Presidential Chain and Medallion of office. The Chain is presently in the PAM building in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
